    If you are a new patient, your first comprehensive check-up with Dr Gilbert is designed to give us a complete picture of your oral health.

    • Thorough Examination: We check your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw joints, and perform an oral cancer screening.
    • Digital Diagnostics: If necessary, we take low-radiation digital X-rays to check for issues hidden beneath the enamel or the gums.
    • Intraoral Camera: We use a small camera to show you exactly what we see on a screen, so you understand any recommendations we make.
    • Professional Clean: We perform a gentle scale and polish to remove plaque and tartar, followed by a protective fluoride treatment.
    • Clear Plan: If you need further treatment, Dr Gilbert will explain your options, and Shaleen will provide a detailed, written treatment plan with all costs outlined.

    Payment Options & Health Funds

    We believe high-quality dental care should be accessible. We offer multiple ways to pay for your treatment:

    HICAPS (On-the-Spot Claiming)

    We accept all major private health insurance funds. With our HICAPS terminal, you can claim your rebate instantly at the reception desk and only pay the "gap" amount.

    Flexible Payment Plans

    Do not let the cost of treatment stop you from getting the care you need. We offer flexible, interest-free payment plans for larger treatments like implants, veneers, and Invisalign. Shaleen can help you set this up during your consultation.

    Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

    We proudly participate in the Medicare CDBS. Eligible children aged 0-17 can receive up to $1,095 in bulk-billed basic dental services over two calendar years. We can check your child's eligibility instantly with your Medicare card.

    Because we are a boutique practice, we run on time and dedicate specific clinical blocks to each patient.

    • Arrival Time: Please arrive 10 minutes before your first appointment to complete a brief medical history form.
    • What to Bring: Please bring your physical or digital health fund card, your Medicare card (if claiming CDBS), and a list of any current medications you are taking.
    • Cancellations: We kindly request at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, so we can offer that time to a patient in pain.
